These compostable bags are made from a biodegradable plastic combined with Ecopond plant starch. Because these bags are made from plant materials, they break down in a both a commercial and a home compost environment, and they are certified compostable for both situations. These bags have a 6 month shelf life and should be stored out of direct sunlight and below 35degrees. BioPak Bioplastic bags are Certified compostable in both industrial composting facility and home compost to Australian Standards AS4736 and AS5810
