Our Sugarcane fibre Sushi Tray Bases are tree-free. Instead they are made from reclaimed and rapidly renewable sugarcane pulp - a by-product remaining after the juice has been extracted that would otherwise be burned. They are are grease and water resistant, with option to purchase separately a leak-proof and secure lid – perfect for food deliveries.

Our BioCane range which includes the BioCane sushi tray base is the only sugarcane packaging certified home compostable in Australia and New Zealand.

Like all of our Biopak products, these trays are also 100% carbon neutral and 7.5% of profits from their sale are donated to positive change.

Made from sugarcane pulp from managed plantations, our sushi boxes will create nutrient rich compost with no toxic residue. Our Sushi Tray Bases are certified industrially compostable (AS4736) where facilities exist, and are also home compostable (AS5810). They are available in a range of sizes with compatible anti-fog lids available. 

About Sugarcane fibre:

• Our Sugarcane Sushi Tray Bases result in 75% less greenhouse gases than the conventional plastic it replaces
• Sugarcane packaging products are microwave safe and oven proof up to 220°C for 20 mins and refrigerator/freezer safe.
• Sugarcane products are certified home compostable to Australian AS5810 and European NF T51-800 standards and commercially compostable to Australian AS4736 and European EN13432 standards.
